Wait for the completed message.

Once your onboarding application has been approved you and your client will receive an email with the completed status. Your client may now begin with the paid services. 

STEP 3

Bill Hope.

As your client (s) complete their sessions, you may bill Hope. You can bill per session or once a month.

  •  HOPE serves those afflicted with life's most private and personal challenges by ensuring they receive vital mental health counseling during times of financial instability or due to inadequate insurance benefits. HOPE also provides no-cost community workshops based on societal needs. ​ 

  • HOPE Mental Health Foundation is funded through donations from individuals, corporations, and grants from foundations. Please visit our website to learn more about how you can support our mission.

  •  It could take several weeks to receive a response to your application. Special service committees meet regularly to review and consider applicants. New applications are reviewed in the order they are received. Please allow up to 60 days for a response.

  • Funds will be distributed to the therapist directly (via check or direct deposit) as services are provided. It is the provider’s responsibility to bill HOPE per session.  We ask to please invoice HOPE no later than 30 days following the session. Invoices can take up to 5-7  business days to process.

  • IHOPE protects our 501(c) 3 status and donor funds by ensuring funds are used as intended. Therefore, we require providers to bill us for sessions as they happen.  We understand not receiving payment at the time of session is not always ideal, that's why we work hard to process payments a quickly as possible and can take up to 5-7 business days to process. 


    We would like to assure you that awarded funds are secured, please bill correctly, (show copays, discounts, session information and correct session rate) to avoid any delays. 

    HOPE is not an insurance company nor do we operate as one. 

  • To determine an award amount, we take into consideration your session rate and copay amounts you will require for your client. We ask that you do not increase your rate when billing for a sponsorship to avoid a random amount of unused funds at the end, and to not shorten the length of a sponsorship. 

    We understand changes happen, if you do change your session rate please email billing@hopegives.netwith session rate changes. 

  • When funds are depleted, your client will be responsible for reapplying for more assistance at the next awarding cycle.

    Your client will be responsible for the cost of any therapeutic services received if there is a lapse in coverage. 

    Your client can reapply for a sponsorship renewal at the next available cycle when your available funding is below $300.00.


    Please note: Hope Mental Health Foundation limits the amount someone can receive at $3,000. If you have received that amount from HOPE you are not eligible for renewal. 

  • HOPE does not pay for missed appointments. If your client misses an appointment, they will be responsible for paying any fees to your directly. We suggest gathering client information you may need to ensure payments are made.

    We ask that you please notify us of any missed appointments or no-shows. Two or more missed or no-show appointments could lead to termination of sponsorship. 

  •  If there is more than a three-month break in therapeutic services, any remaining funds will be put back into service to be made available to others.  Sponsorships must be completed within one year of the award date.

    Important: Hope Foundation operates to help families receive the mental health care they deserve. In order to help as many people as possible, sponsorships not used within any 3 month period are marked as expired and will no longer be accessible. The expiration date is determined based on the last date of service billed to HOPE.

  • We suggest that all therapists require up to a $25 copay per session. This co-pay is to be paid to you directly and deducted from your invoice to HOPE. The co-pay is optional, we have seen copays from $10 - $25.

  • HOPE requires providers to onboard before awarding a sponsorship amount to determine the exact number of sessions awarded. This helps us avoid random left-over amounts that do not cover a full session. However, we understand that some clients like to pay more when available to help their sponsorships stretch, sometimes leaving a small amount of funds left cover at the end of a sponsorships. 

    Sponsorships with a remaining balance of $25.00 or less are redeemed as a completed sponsorship.

    For example, if your client has a left-over balance of $12.75, those funds are redeemed and returned to the sponsorship fund. If the sponsorship has a balance of $25.00 +, they can use those funds towards their next session.  However, the client is responsible for the remaining session amount.

  • If the session rate is more than $150, applicants are still eligible to apply understanding that the client will be responsible for covering the remainder or provider offers a discounted rate.

    The remainder will be paid directly to the provider.
